In this experiment we are interested in conscious or unconscious color associations that you (may or may not) have with letters of the alphabet. We are studying how these associations differ across the world's languages. Therefore, to participate in the experiment, your native language must not be English, Dutch, German, or Spanish. The task takes a maximum of 60 minutes, and you will receive 1 Research Credit for your participation.

Would you like to earn 6.75 Psychology Research Credits or 67.50 euros? Are you interested in finding out more about your imagination? Look no further and participate in this study! We are currently looking for physically and mentally healthy participants between the age of 18 and 35. The goal of this study is to assess how well people can script vivid stories using a variety of stimuli. You will be presented with various combinations of pictures and sounds, which you will use as the ingredients for your personally imagined events.
The study will take place over three sessions, scheduled on three consecutive days. However, please note that we can only determine after session 1 whether you can continue your participation in sessions 2 and 3. We cannot disclose the reasons for ending your participation after session 1. If you cannot continue after session 1, we will inform you at the end of the session and reimburse you for your participation in the first session. All sessions take 1,5 hours each (4.5 hours in total). During all sessions, you will have to perform an imagination task on the computer. After signing up, you will receive an e-mail containing an informed consent form and a screener to check whether you are eligible to participate. Filling in the screener will only take 3 minutes. If you meet the criteria, we will call you to ask some additional questions and, if you turn out to be eligible, schedule the three lab sessions.

Wij zijn momenteel op zoek naar fysiek en mentaal gezonde deelnemers tussen de 18 en 35 jaar oud. Het doel van deze studie is om te onderzoeken hoe goed mensen levendige verhalen kunnen bedenken aan de hand van verschillende soorten stimuli. Je krijgt verschillende combinaties van beelden en geluiden te zien en te horen, die je gebruikt als ingrediënten voor je eigen ingebeelde gebeurtenissen.
De studie bestaat uit drie sessies, die op drie opeenvolgende dagen worden ingepland. Houd er echter rekening mee dat we pas na sessie 1 kunnen bepalen of je kunt doorgaan met je deelname aan sessie 2 en 3. We mogen de redenen voor het eventueel beëindigen van je deelname na sessie 1 niet bekendmaken. Als je na sessie 1 niet kunt doorgaan, dan informeren we je hierover aan het einde van de sessie en ontvang je een vergoeding voor je deelname aan de eerste sessie. Elke sessie duurt 1,5 uur (4,5 uur in totaal). Tijdens alle sessies voer je een verbeeldingstaak uit op de computer.
Na aanmelding ontvang je een e-mail met een toestemmingsformulier en een korte screening om te bepalen of je in aanmerking komt voor deelname. Het invullen van de screening duurt slechts 3 minuten. Als je aan de criteria voldoet, zullen we je bellen om enkele aanvullende vragen te stellen en, indien je geschikt blijkt, de drie labsessies in te plannen.
LET OP: In deze studie worden aversieve emotionele beelden en geluiden gebruikt, die als emotioneel belastend kunnen worden ervaren.

We are currently looking for physically and mentally healthy participants between the age of 18 and 35.
The goal of this study is to assess how well people can use their attention to vividly imagine stories using different stimuli. You will be presented with various combinations of pictures and sounds, which you will use as the ingredients for your personally imagined events. Note that some of these stimuli are emotionally charged. The study will take place over three sessions, scheduled on three consecutive days. Each session will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. During the testing sessions you will perform attention and imagination tasks on a computer.
After signing up, you will receive an email with an information letter and a screening questionnaire to check whether you are eligible to participate. Filling in the screener will only take 3 minutes. If you meet the criteria, we will call you to schedule three sessions. Please note that we can only determine after session 1 whether you can continue with sessions 2 and 3. We cannot disclose the reasons if participation ends after session 1. If this occurs, you will be informed at the end of session 1 and reimbursed for your participation in that session.

Welcome to Bovenland! How do you deal with social challenges as a citizen of Bovenland?
In this study you will be an inhabitant of Bovenland. You will experience different social situations. We are interested in how you respond to these situations. The study can be completed in Dutch as well as English.
Participants have to be over 16 years old.
The study takes approximately 15 minutes and participants receive 0.5 Psychology RCs.

Do you want to help us gain insights into what drives intrusions and how we can treat them?
Then you can be part of our study where we will investigate intrusions students might experience related to the past or the future. If you are experiencing any recurring intrusions you might also be included examining a potential intervention.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?
The study consists of two parts. Part one involves a singles in-person in a lab at the Roeterseiland (REC-L), where you will fill out a survey and a short screening. If eligible for part two, you will be familiarized with one of two popular games, Tetris or Candy Crush, which we will install on your phone.
Part two involves subsequent daily online assessments. That is, after the lab session, for the following 6 days, you will be required to keep a diary related to your intrusions, using a Qualtrics survey. You will also be asked to play the game installed on your phone on some of these days. Lastly, you will be asked to fill in a final short survey, debriefed and compensated for your participation.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
The study is expected to take approximately 3 hours in total.
The lab session is estimated to take around 30 minutes to 50 minutes depending on eligibility.
Completion of the diary will take approximately 1 hour in total, while playing the game will take approximately 45 minutes in total.
The final survey will take approximately 30 minutes.
WHAT WILL I GAIN?
Besides the chance to contribute to science by providing insightful data, you will be rewarded with 4.5 Psychology Research Credits after full completion. Be aware that the lab session alone is rewarded with 1 RC you will receive the full compensation if you are eligible and complete the second part of the study.
AM I ELIGIBLE?
In order to take part, you need to be between 18 and 65 years of age and have a good understanding of English. You are NOT eligible to take part if:
- You are currently receiving, or have recently received, treatment for post-traumatic stress symptoms, including medication, psychological therapy or counselling
You will be asked to participated in the second part of the study if:
- You are in possession of a smartphone, and willing to download an app.
- You have not recently (within the past 3 weeks) played Tetris or Candy Crush or were not a habitual player in the past
- You are willing to stay off any video games for the 7 days of participating in the experiment (from the lab session until the final survey).
- You experience a recurring involuntary thought or memory (intrusion).
A clear definition of an intrusion will be provided during the lab session so don't hesitate to come in if you are unsure.

You will participate in a simple online experiment assessing visual performance. In 48 trials you will observe rapidly changing line/color combinations. You have to detect specific targets as fast and accurately as possible: we are measuring response times as well as accuracy.
The whole session will last approximately 30 minutes. After every block (1-2 minutes) there is a short break.
You will receiver 0.5 Psychology RC (Research Credits) as compensation.
You may participate if you have normal vision (or corrected to normal: glasses/contact lenses), and normal color vision.

Altijd al eens een VR-bril willen dragen?
Doe mee aan het onderzoek ervaringen en voorkeuren in de virtuele wereld. Tijdens het labonderzoek zal je verschillende vragenlijsten invullen en twee virtuele werelden betreden. Het onderzoek duurt 40 minuten.
Eet je wel eens vis/vlees en zuivel, spreek je Nederlands en studeer je aan een Nederlandse onderwijsinstelling, dan kan je meedoen!
Als je beide onderdelen afrondt krijg je €7,50 of 2 Research Credits (Communicatiewetenschap).

Are you interested in how people understand their own experiences? We are conducting an online research study examining how individuals relate to their mental health experiences.
What does participation involve?

Is nieuwsgierigheid de motor achter leren? Als je wil bijdragen aan een antwoord op deze vraag, doe dan mee met dit onderzoek.
Het onderzoek bestaat uit een computertest (laboratoriumonderzoek) en duurt maximaal 1,5 uur. Na voltooiing van de volledige taak wordt deelname beloond met 1,5 psychologie-research credits of 15 euro, als je geen student psychologie bent.
De computertest bestaat uit verschillende fasen. In de eerste fase screent de computer je kennis van en nieuwsgierigheid naar triviavragen. In de tweede fase zie je antwoorden op een selectie van die triviavragen. Na een pauze volgen geheugenvragen en worden er vragen gesteld over je interesse in een selectie van onderwerpen.
Iedereen die tenminste 17 jaar oud is en het Nederlands goed beheerst, kan deelnemen. Er zijn geen uitsluitingscriteria.

Werk-en studiestress is een groeiend probleem in onze samenleving. Het is daarom belangrijk om beter te begrijpen welke dagelijkse factoren. waaronder de manier waarop we reizen, invloed hebben op onze mentale gezondheid.
Wij zijn op zoek naar studenten die regelmatig met de fiets naar de universiteit gaan en willen meewerken en bijdragen aan wetenschappelijk onderzoek. In deze online studie onderzoeken we hoe de fietsroutes die studenten nemen van en naar de universiteit samenhangen met hun mentale gezondheid.

To participate in this study, you must be at least 16 years of age and have experience playing video games for fun. There are no other criteria for being included in this study.
This online study requires your participation at two different time points, separated by a one-week delay. During session one, you will answer questions about yourself, your experience with video games, and your general orientation to certain experiences. Then, you will play a short game that we have chosen for you. After, you will answer some questions about your experiences playing the game. About one week later, we will send you a notification (and reminders, if necessary) that you can log in again to the FMG research lab website. During session two, we will just ask you to play the game again for a short time, and answer some more questions about your experiences. Both parts of this study take place entirely online.
In total, the study requires approximately 1.5 hours to complete (Session 1: 1 hour, Session 2: 30 minutes). You can be compensated in the form of 1.5 Communication Science research credits (session 1: 1 RC, session 2: .5 RC) for your participation in this study.

Het doel van het onderzoek is om een beeld te krijgen van de sociale cognitie binnen de gezonde populatie. Sociale cognitie verwijst naar het mentale vermogen om te begrijpen, interpreteren en reageren op de gedachten, gevoelens en gedragingen van andere mensen in sociale situaties. Als dit vermogen ontbreekt, kunnen er problemen ontstaan in sociale interacties en communicatie. We gebruiken deze specifieke testmaterialen dan ook om meer gegevens te verzamelen over sociale cognitie in de algemene bevolking. Deze gegevens zullen worden toegevoegd aan de Advanced Neuropsychological Diagnostics Infrastructure (ANDI), een online platform dat normatieve gegevens verzamelt voor verschillende neuropsychologische tests.
Daarnaast zal met het onderzoek worden gekeken naar mogelijk verschillen tussen deelnemers met een andere culturele achtergrond. Hiermee krijgen we inzicht in de gevoeligheid van sociale cognitie tests voor culturele verschillen. Tot slot willen we graag meer te weten komen over het verband tussen sociale cognitie en diverse psychologische eigenschappen, zoals sociaal gedrag, gevoelens en ervaringen.
Voordat we met het onderzoek beginnen wordt er een aantal algemene vragen gesteld. Hierna volgen enkele tests en vragenlijsten. Voor elke nieuwe test of vragenlijst wordt een korte introductie gegeven over de inhoud van deze test of vragenlijst en wat er van u wordt verwacht. Het onderzoek duurt ongeveer 1.5 uur. Studenten Psychologie kunnen 1.5 research credits voor deelname ontvangen. Niet-studenten kunnen, indien gewenst, 15 euro vergoeding krijgen.

Je geeft jouw mening door (1) de zes gevallen één voor één te lezen, (2) per geval aan te geven of je een sanctie passend vindt en, zo ja, (3) per geval de sanctie te kiezen die je passend vindt uit een lijst van sancties.
Daarna vraagt deze enquête om een toelichting bij jouw keuze. Je bent vrij in hoe je jouw keuze toelicht. Dit kan bijvoorbeeld in een kort antwoord of in een paar steekwoorden.
Deze enquête is klaar nadat je hebt gekozen of en, zo ja, welke sanctie je passend vindt voor alle zes gevallen en jouw keuze telkens hebt toegelicht. Dit duurt naar verwachting ongeveer 20 minuten. Daarna heb je recht op een vergoeding van € 3,75.
Deze enquête staat open voor iedereen die niet een juridische opleiding heeft gehad.

De MIND studie wil de specifieke noden en wensen rond mentale gezondheid van zowel migranten als niet-migranten beter begrijpen. We're looking for healthy people between 16 - 30 years. You follow an 8-week exercise or yoga program and attend four paid laboratory sessions. Afterwards, you keep your gym subscription for an additional 4 months which gives you free access to individual and group (fitness or yoga) training. For the lab sessions, you receive 15 euro/1,5 credit per hour (=112,50 euro/11,25 credits for the total of 7,5 hours).
The exercise and yoga take place at the University Sports Center (USC), which has several locations in Amsterdam. The lab sessions are performed at the University of Amsterdam (Behavioural Science Lab).
Note that the sessions in the lab include viewing emotional images and hearing sounds that can be experienced as emotionally burdening. Also, electrical stimuli are used of which the strength will be determined on an individual basis. They are harmless but can be experienced as uncomfortable.

We are curious about whether daily interactions with an AI chatbot evolve into social chit-chat and how these conversations affect AI chatbot users. To help our investigations on social interactions with AI chatbots, we are looking for participants who can fill out an anonymous survey, which takes 20 minutes to complete. Any person who is older than 16 and who has been interacting with an AI chatbot for more than a month can participate in our study.
